I’m Rick Musil, a founder and web designer based in Irvine, California. I build businesses, websites, and digital products around real problems, then keep improving them until they work.

The Short Version

Builder first, specialist second.

I work as a freelance web designer and developer, designing and building fast, clear websites for small businesses and independent operators. I also run my own ventures, so I know what a site has to do once it’s live: bring in leads, build trust, and be easy to maintain.

My background spans ecommerce, transportation and logistics, real estate, and software. OC Overstock has been selling on eBay since 1999, and that long run in resale and reverse logistics shaped how I think about operations: keep it simple, keep it moving, and measure what matters.

More recently I’ve been building AI-enabled products and automation, from grant discovery to focus tools, with the same approach. Start with a practical problem, ship something small, and refine it.

I’m also a licensed California real estate agent, which keeps me close to the property side of the business.
